Best practices for marketing your your wedding business in 2025

Wedding marketing is the key to setting your business apart and attracting your dream clients. A new year means fresh opportunities, and I’m so excited to share how you can set yourself up for success in 2025. Whether you’re aiming to book more clients, simplify your workflows, or just feel more in control of your business, the quieter winter months are the perfect time to focus on your goals.

I’ve learned that a little preparation now can make a huge difference when the busy wedding season kicks off. So here are my top four marketing and admin strategies to help you make 2025 the best yet for your wedding business.

1. Wedding Marketing Strategies for 2025

Your marketing is the first thing potential couples see, so it’s worth taking the time to make sure it’s working for you. Winter is the perfect time to give everything a little refresh—I do this with my own clients, and the results are always worth it.

Here’s what to focus on:

  • Social media refresh: Is your bio up-to-date? Are your pinned posts showcasing your best work? A few tweaks here can make a big difference.
  • Website update: Add fresh galleries, replace outdated testimonials, and make sure your contact form works seamlessly.
  • Content planning: Brainstorm blog ideas, Instagram Reels, and email newsletters to keep your audience engaged, inspired and informed for the months ahead.

2. Update Your Wedding Business Brochures

Your brochures and pricing guides are often the first things couples see when they inquire with you and it’s the first look they get of your work, vibe and overall aesthetic. So make sure they are representing your business in the best possible light using your brand voice, copy, colours and photos.

Here’s a quick guide for what to include in your brochure if you are making one from scratch or updating an existing one:

  • Include your best work using professional photos in the style that represents your brand. If you created stunning floral arrangements but the photography style is too dark and moody to really see the details, then opt to include a different wedding where the photos really do your work justice.
  • Add a clear breakdown of your services so couples know exactly what to expect. Share what the experience and journey will look like if they choose to work with you.
  • Testimonials are so important to include as they are the foundation on which the trust is established. Add text messages, emails or even video reviews from your past couples to show that you are the expert and are a reliable and trustworthy wedding supplier.
  • Transparent pricing (or starting prices) is crucial to set clear expectations from the start. You only want to be onboarding couples who can pay at least your starting prices.

3. Streamlining Client Journeys for Wedding Businesses

A smooth, seamless client experience makes couples feel confident and supported from the very beginning when they choose to work with you. Winter is the perfect time to refine your workflows and ensure your processes are as efficient as possible so there’s no wasting time with admin or emails when the busy wedding season hits.

Here’s what you can do to prepare:

  • Test your inquiry process: Are you responding quickly and professionally? Do you feel like there is a personal touch included and it doesn’t sound like a generic template response?
  • Invest in automated workflows like a CRM: Tools like Dubsado or HubSpot can handle contracts, payments, and follow-ups for you in the background. Take the time during the winter to set up these processes so they can make your life easier during the summer.
  • Create email templates: Save time with pre-written responses for FAQs, follow-ups, and scheduling calls. These can be saved in a google doc for easy access or added to your CRM system.

4. Build Supplier Relationships in the Wedding Industry

The wedding industry thrives on collaboration, so don’t overlook the importance of building strong supplier relationships both locally and internationally. Use these quieter months to strengthen your network and create opportunities for referrals.

Here’s what I’d do:

  • Send thank-you emails to suppliers you’ve worked with and suggest future collaborations.
  • Tag suppliers  in your social media posts to support them and reach their audience.
  • Ask to be involved in styled shoots at venues you want to work at.
  • Attend local wedding fairs or networking events to meet new connections in person.
  • Ask wedding suppliers you admire or have worked with before to collaborate on a blog post that you can then both share to your online audiences.
