Creating a steady stream of engaging content for Instagram might seem daunting, but with some planning and creativity, it can be manageable! I’m excited to be sharing with you some practical tips to keep your Instagram feed buzzing with fresh content ideas.
Dedicate content creation days
Think of dedicating a day each month to content creation as a fun and productive activity that will help grow your wedding business. During your content day, plan to have outfit changes, visit various locations, and even hire a content creation studio. It’s even better if you have a team member to help or hire a content creator to capture your best side!
Remember everything is content, from making a cuppa to visiting a flower market or working from your home office. These little snippets of your day-to-day life make for gold behind-the-scenes content that you can use on Instagram for your wedding business.

Utilise background recording
A tripod is your best friend. Set it up in different spots around your workspace to capture your activities without interrupting your workflow. Create time-lapse videos of editing photos if you are a wedding photographer, handcrafting invitations if you are a wedding stationer or arranging flowers in your wedding floral studio. Add text overlays to these video clips to make these reels engaging for your audience an brides-to-be. What seems routine to you can be fascinating to your followers on Instagram.
Everything is content
You’ve heard me say this before – and it’s true! Everything you do is content. Think of the things you do regularly that you wouldn’t necessarily think is an exciting part of your wedding business, for example, unloading your florist’s van, setting up at the wedding venue at 6am, or having a chat with your wedding planning team, these moments are perfect for sharing.
For special events, like wedding setups, having someone capture the entire process from start to finish can provide a comprehensive look at the beautiful work you do and an insight into your wedding business. It’s a great way to show your audience what goes on behind the scenes.

Repurpose content
Don’t stress about creating new content for every post on Instagram. You can take the same footage you’ve captured on a wedding day and transform it into various content types like reels, stories, and static posts.
This time-saving content idea helps you to keep your feed consistent and keeps that feeling of overwhelm away. Go one step further and plan these posts in advance by using scheduling tool, I usually say to my clients that preparing a month’s worth of content ahead of time is ideal, but start with even just a week ahead and see how it works for you.
Once your Instagram content is written and created, repurpose the text so you can share your stunning weddings over multiple platforms like Pinterest, your blog and LinkedIn.
Content Tools and Tips
Using simple tools like a tripod or gimbal can make a big difference in the steadiness of your footage if you want to aim for a more professional style of behind-the-scenes videos. Your smartphone is more than capable of shooting great videos, so don’t be put off if you don’t have a fancy expensive camera!
Authenticity is what connects you to building a relationship with your audience, so just be yourself in front of the camera so they can see your personality . They’ll appreciate seeing the real, unpolished moments from inside your wedding business.

By dedicating time to content creation, utilising background recording, and repurposing content, you can maintain a steady flow of engaging Instagram posts without spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to capture content. Showcasing your authentic self and the daily workings of your wedding business will help you connect with your audience on a deeper level.
